Presenting the event that everyone has been waiting for:  ”Two Rivers Arts and Music Festival”, June 11th, 2016 from 2:00pm to midnight.   Cass County Arts Alliance, Security Federal Savings, The Community Foundation, and Cass County Visitors Bureau is setting the standard high for its 1st Annual “Two Rivers Arts and Music Festival”.    It will have a vibrant new look with an energy to appeal to a larger segment of our population while enticing our surrounding communities to attend.  Save the date!!
It is a family friendly event open to all here and across the State.  New ideas include a Teen Songwriting Showcase that will offer young musicians a platform to breakout and perform/record their original material during the festival fostering the future of our growing young arts community.
Keeping with the sweet sound of music, there will be three stages throughout the day to keep one entertained.  Live in concert - headliner – JD McPherson, an Oklahoma guy who grew up on a cattle ranch, became a teacher (then fired), now musician – his music is known as rockabilly.   The rhythm is so catchy, it will be hard not to get up and dance.  We welcome back Shiny Penny to the stage.  Awesome young group with a ton of energy!!   Allison Agen, a young talent of 15 yrs. from Ft. Wayne performs her acoustic music with such purity and beauty.    A diverse type of music is to be fused into this amazing festival.   How about a bit of BMX Track on the curriculum!   These are just a few of the events scheduled.  Be sure to check out the Facebook pages.
